I get emails. John Tibbetts has announced that he will challenge incumbent Austin Scott (R) for Georgia House District 153 this November. Tibbetts ran in 2006 and garnered 46 percent of the vote.
Tibbetts is a combat veteran who retired as a lieutenant colonel with the U.S. Army after 21 years of service. Since August 2005, he has taught history at Tift County High School.
